Pilgrims with Ightham

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

Reports of road‑related crime and wider road safety concerns have continued to reduce. Officers have maintained a strong, visible presence on key routes across the district, using both foot and vehicle patrols at times when issues are most likely to occur.

Speeding, poor driving and vehicle‑related nuisance remain priorities. Patrols and deployment are regularly reviewed using recent reports and feedback from the community. This joint approach with residents is helping to support ongoing reductions in road‑related incidents.

Nuisance motorbikes.

Issued 03 February 2026

There has been a continued reduction in reports involving nuisance motorcycles and other off‑road vehicles. This reflects targeted patrols in known hotspot areas and the proactive work of the beat officer.

The beat officer has been working closely with the local housing association, including carrying out checks on garages suspected of being used to store unregistered or nuisance vehicles. These visits have helped gather useful information, which is now being developed to identify those responsible, disrupt repeat behaviour, and prevent future incidents.

Engagement with residents remains important, and we continue to encourage people to report sightings. This helps ensure patrols are intelligence‑led and focused where they are needed most.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Reports of nuisance‑related antisocial behaviour have continued to decrease across the area. This includes fewer reports of low‑level disorder, noise issues, gatherings, and behaviour that, while not criminal, has a negative impact on community wellbeing.

The beat officer continues to carry out regular reassurance patrols in residential areas and locations previously identified as problem sites. Joint work with housing providers and other partners allows early intervention with individuals linked to persistent nuisance, helping ensure they receive both appropriate support and challenge to change their behaviour.
