Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Road safety issues. Issued 21 April 2026	Officers have been carrying out regular patrols in and around Paddock Wood to address road safety concerns and vehicle-related offences. Working alongside PC Scudder, officers have dealt with a number of motorists for a range of offences, issued Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) where appropriate and provided advice to drivers regarding speeding, dangerous parking and other road safety concerns. A TOR is a formal report issued when a driver is suspected of committing a road traffic offence and may result in a fixed penalty notice, driver education course or court action. Additional speed enforcement activity is planned in response to concerns raised by residents, and officers continue to monitor areas where speeding has been reported. Tackling nuisance motorbike use also remains a priority. Targeted patrols and enforcement activity have led to the seizure of a nuisance motorcycle in recent months. Officers will continue to carry out proactive patrols and take appropriate action to improve road safety, reduce antisocial behaviour and address concerns raised by the local community. Catapults. Issued 21 April 2026	Officers continue to take proactive action to tackle catapult-related incidents in the Paddock Wood area. As a result of ongoing patrols, investigations and community engagement, action has been taken against 10 young people in connection with offences involving catapults. Officers have also seized a number of catapults during foot patrols before any offences were committed, helping to prevent further incidents and reduce the risk to the community. Enquiries remain ongoing into additional reports, with a further 3 young people currently being dealt with for alleged catapult-related offences. Alongside enforcement activity, officers continue to work with schools, parents and partner agencies to raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of catapult misuse, including the harm it can cause to wildlife, property and public safety. Through a combination of enforcement, early intervention and education, officers remain committed to reducing catapult-related offending and helping to keep local communities safe. Antisocial behaviour - nuisance. Issued 21 April 2026	Whilst antisocial behaviour can cover a wide range of issues, officers have responded to a variety of incidents over recent months. In addition to taking action against young people involved in catapult-related offences and nuisance bike activity, a number of Acceptable Behaviour Agreements (ABAs) have been issued to young people involved in antisocial behaviour. An ABA is a voluntary agreement that sets clear expectations of behaviour and aims to prevent further incidents. Officers have worked closely with schools in Paddock Wood and partner agencies to ensure appropriate referrals and support are provided alongside any enforcement action. This helps address the underlying causes of behaviour and provides opportunities for early intervention. Neighbourhood officers have also dealt with a range of antisocial behaviour incidents involving adults, working closely with the Borough Council, housing associations and other partner agencies to identify long-term solutions and provide support where needed. Through a combination of engagement, early intervention and enforcement, officers remain committed to reducing antisocial behaviour and improving the quality of life for local residents.
