Pantiles

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers have been working closely with partner agencies to reduce antisocial behaviour in the area. This includes using Community Resolutions (an agreed outcome between the victim and the person responsible), Community Protection Warnings (a formal warning telling someone their behaviour must stop) and Community Protection Notices (a legal notice requiring the person to change their behaviour). Officers have also used education and workbooks to help change behaviour, supported by a joint multi‑agency approach to achieve positive results for the community.

We have increased visibility and engagement in the area, paying particular attention to local businesses to make sure issues such as antisocial behaviour, shoplifting and nuisance are dealt with quickly and effectively for those reporting concerns.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Violence against women and girls (VAWG).

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers have placed Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) at the centre of their work in local communities. We have increased high‑visibility patrols, especially during busy periods such as evenings and weekends when more people are out and about. This includes a strong focus on the night‑time economy, which refers to places like pubs, bars, restaurants and late‑night venues where people gather after dark.

Officers are working closely with businesses, security staff and partner agencies to prevent and detect crime. We have carried out a number of community engagement events and held open and honest conversations with residents about safety, listening carefully to any concerns raised.

We continue to work proactively to achieve positive outcomes for reports made to us, making sure that anyone affected by these crimes feels supported and safeguarded.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Begging.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers continue to work closely with partner agencies to support and safeguard those involved, while also taking action against any criminality linked to reported offences. This includes the use of Community Protection Warnings, which are formal warnings telling someone their behaviour must stop, and Community Protection Notices, which are legal notices requiring a person to change or control their behaviour. Community Resolutions are also used, which allow the victim and the person responsible to agree an appropriate outcome.

Support services have been brought in to help protect those affected, and this joint approach ensures that concerns are dealt with swiftly and effectively for the benefit of the community.
