Officers have been carrying out high-visibility patrols across the area and, where appropriate, have stopped drivers to offer advice or take enforcement action. In some cases, Traffic Offence Reports have been issued, which can result in a fine or, for more serious offences, a court appearance. Officers continue to focus on the main causes of serious road collisions, including speeding, using a mobile phone while driving and failing to wear a seatbelt. Several vehicles have also been seized after being found on the road without valid insurance.

Nuisance bikes.

There has been an increase in motorcycle thefts across Kent, and Tunbridge Wells has also been affected. The issue is being seen across a number of areas, and officers have recovered and seized several suspected stolen motorcycles. Information and crime prevention advice have also been shared with residents through community messaging channels such as My Community Voice. Officers will continue to take action against those involved in motorcycle theft and antisocial behaviour, helping to protect local communities and reduce the impact on residents.

Catapults.

The local neighbourhood officer continues to address concerns about the misuse of catapults through targeted patrols and regular engagement with the community. Working alongside colleagues and specialist teams, officers gather information, monitor areas where incidents have been reported and take action to prevent and disrupt this behaviour. Information provided by residents plays an important role in helping officers identify those responsible, and members of the public are encouraged to continue reporting any incidents or concerns to support ongoing police enquiries and prevention work.
