Cage Green & Angel

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Vehicle crime.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers have increased evening patrols in key hotspot areas identified through recent crime reports and information from the community. These targeted patrols provide a visible police presence at peak times, help deter opportunistic crime, and allow officers to respond quickly to suspicious activity. As a result of this focused work, reports of vehicle‑related crime, including theft from vehicles and interference with parked cars, have reduced.

The team continues to work closely with residents, Neighbourhood Watch groups and partner agencies to identify any emerging issues early and respond appropriately. This reduction reflects both effective patrols and strong community engagement.

Actioned 30 March 2026

E-scooters/e-bikes.

Issued 03 February 2026

The local beat officer has visited a person known to be involved in the antisocial use of an e‑scooter. During the visit, advice was given about the law, safe use, and the consequences of continued misuse, including potential enforcement action. The issue has also been discussed at the District Contextual Safeguarding Meeting so that partner agencies are aware and able to share relevant information.

Further work is ongoing to identify others linked to recent reports, using CCTV opportunities and information from the community where available.

A dedicated day of action is also being planned to focus on e‑scooter and e‑bike misuse. This will include high‑visibility patrols, engagement and targeted enforcement to address concerns raised by residents and help prevent further issues.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

Beat officers recently carried out a day of action focused on improving road safety across key routes in the district. This included proactive vehicle stops, engagement with drivers, and targeted checks in locations highlighted by community reports.

Traffic Offence Reports were issued for a range of offences, showing a firm approach to behaviour that puts road users at risk. During the operation, two drivers were found to be driving without a valid licence and immediate enforcement action was taken.

Further speeding offences were also identified. This information will be used to help plan future patrols and continue to address ongoing concerns raised by residents.
