Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

Antisocial behaviour - general.

Issued 15 April 2026

Over the last 3 months, officers have carried out regular high-visibility patrols across the ward to help prevent antisocial behaviour, engage with residents and provide reassurance to the community.

Patrols have taken place on foot, by bicycle and in both marked and unmarked police vehicles, helping officers identify issues and respond to local concerns. Patrol activity is guided by community feedback and local intelligence, ensuring resources are focused where they are needed most.

Officers will continue to maintain a visible presence, monitor emerging issues and take appropriate action where concerns are identified.

Road safety.

Issued 15 April 2026

Road safety remains a priority within the ward. Throughout the reporting period, officers carried out speed checks and road safety patrols in response to concerns about speeding and driver behaviour.

Patrols took place on foot, by bicycle and in both marked and unmarked police vehicles, helping officers identify offences and maintain a visible presence within the community. Officers also took part in dedicated road safety operations across the district, targeting traffic-related offences.

Where offences were identified, enforcement action was taken, including the issuing of Traffic Offence Reports. A Traffic Offence Report is a formal report used when a driver is suspected of committing a road traffic offence.

This ongoing work aims to improve driver behaviour, reduce risks to pedestrians and other road users, and make roads safer for everyone in the ward.

Actioned 02 July 2026

E-scooters/e-bikes.

Issued 15 April 2026

Over the last 3 months, officers have continued to address concerns relating to nuisance motorcycles, e-scooters and e-bikes within the ward.

Patrols have been carried out on foot, by bicycle and in both marked and unmarked police vehicles, focusing on areas identified through community reports and local intelligence. Officers have also engaged with riders where appropriate and remain alert to offences involving the illegal or antisocial use of these vehicles on roads, footpaths and public open spaces.

Where offences are identified, officers will take appropriate action, which may include a Section 59 warning. This is a formal warning that can be issued when a vehicle is being used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance. If the behaviour continues, the vehicle can be seized.

Information provided by residents continues to help officers identify problem areas and those responsible. Reports from the public are used to guide future patrols and enforcement activity, helping to improve safety and reduce antisocial behaviour within the community.
