Borough Green & Platt

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Actioned 15 April 2026

Antisocial behaviour - general.

Issued 03 February 2026

Reports of antisocial behaviour across the area continue to decrease. This reflects the ongoing work of the beat team to identify emerging issues early and deal with them quickly.

Regular engagement with residents, partner agencies and community groups helps make sure concerns are raised promptly and addressed in a targeted way. Our focus remains on maintaining a visible and reassuring police presence to prevent issues from escalating and to support those affected.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Levels of nuisance‑related antisocial behaviour have also reduced. This includes fewer reports of noise issues, minor disorder, youth gatherings, and behaviour that, while not criminal, causes ongoing annoyance to residents.

Officers continue to carry out foot and vehicle patrols in areas previously identified as hotspots. We also work with housing providers, youth services and schools to make sure those causing repeated nuisance are supported, challenged and held accountable where appropriate.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

Road safety concerns have reduced. This is supported by continued high‑visibility patrols and targeted speed checks in known hotspots.

The team regularly reviews collision data and speeding reports to make sure resources are used where they will have the most impact. Education and engagement with drivers remain an important part of our approach to keeping roads safe.
