Snodland West & Holborough Lakes

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Antisocial behaviour - general.

Issued 03 February 2026

Patrols around the pump track and recreation ground are continuing. Officers speak with people using e‑scooters and e‑bikes in the area to provide advice and take action where offences are identified.

We are aware of a group who continue to use these vehicles in an antisocial way, and work is ongoing to identify those involved.

Reports linked to the Holborough Lakes area have reduced over the last few months, which is likely due to the time of year. Patrols will continue as the weather improves to help prevent issues from returning.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Catapults.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers have continued to carry out stop searches of young people over the past few months in relation to reports of catapults and other items used to cause damage or harm wildlife.

Where items have been found, officers have taken appropriate action. This has included using educational workbooks to explain the impact of this behaviour, as well as further enforcement where necessary.

Officers have identified individuals while on foot patrol and through CCTV and have also spoken with young people to educate them about the risks, consequences and legality of carrying catapults.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Nuisance motorcycles.

Issued 03 February 2026

Nuisance motorbikes and other vehicles continue to cause problems in the area. Officers work closely with Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council to take action when vehicles are identified. This can include issuing Fixed Penalty Notices and Community Protection Warnings to registered keepers where appropriate.

A Community Protection Warning is a formal written warning telling someone to stop behaviour that is having a negative impact on the community. If the behaviour continues, further action can be taken.

Officers patrol the area regularly, with a particular focus on Friday and Saturday evenings when issues are most likely to occur.
