Snodland East & Ham Hill

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Issued 03 February 2026

Nuisance motorbikes and vehicles continue to cause issues in the area. Officers work closely with Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council to take action when vehicles are identified. This includes issuing Fixed Penalty Notices and Community Protection Warnings to registered keepers where appropriate.

Officers carry out regular patrols, with a particular focus on Friday and Saturday evenings when problems are most likely to occur.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Beat officers have continued to patrol Snodland alongside the Neighbourhood Task Force. Action has been taken against young people causing issues at Domino’s, the Co‑op and Budgens.

Officers have also attended Aylas sunbed shop with Trading Standards to check that conditions were being met. Items were seized during the visit, and offences are currently being investigated by Trading Standards.

Young people who were reported for banging on doors in the Snodland area have also been identified and spoken to about their behaviour.

Actioned 30 March 2026

E-scooters/e-bikes.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers continue to work closely with CCTV operators and local shopkeepers to identify people using e‑bikes and e‑scooters in an antisocial way. We understand how frustrating this behaviour can be for residents.

Those who continue to ride e‑bikes or e‑scooters illegally or antisocially will be dealt with appropriately. Officers will also continue to speak with riders to explain the law around e‑scooters and where they can and cannot be used.
