Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

Beat officers recently carried out a day of action to tackle road‑related offences and improve safety on key routes across the district. This included proactive vehicle stops, speaking with drivers, and targeted checks in locations highlighted by residents.

Traffic Offence Reports were issued for a range of offences, showing a firm approach to behaviour that puts road users at risk. During the operation, two drivers were found to be driving without a valid licence and immediate enforcement action was taken.

Further speeding offences were also identified. This information will be used to help plan future patrols and continue to address ongoing concerns raised by the community.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Criminal damage.

Issued 03 February 2026

There have been no further reports of criminal damage at local surgeries. This suggests that earlier action and partnership work have been effective in resolving the issues previously raised.

Officers continue to carry out regular patrols so that any new concerns can be identified quickly. The current reduction in reports is reassuring, and the local officer will continue to monitor the situation and maintain a visible presence to provide ongoing reassurance.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers have continued increased patrols in areas identified as hotspots for nuisance antisocial behaviour. These targeted patrols help deter low‑level disorder, reassure residents, and allow officers to step in quickly when issues arise.

Officers have also continued to speak with residents affected by these issues. This has helped identify specific locations, households and patterns linked to repeat incidents. The information gathered is being used to support problem‑solving work, guide future patrols, and inform partnership activity with housing providers and other agencies where further action may be needed.
