Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Nuisance vehicles. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to address concerns about nuisance vehicles through targeted patrols, intelligence gathering and enforcement activity. Information provided by residents helps officers identify those responsible and focus activity in locations where concerns are greatest. Where offences are identified, appropriate action is taken using road traffic and antisocial behaviour legislation. Through ongoing patrols and community engagement, officers continue to work to reduce nuisance vehicle use and improve safety for local residents. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents, as information from the community plays a vital role in helping officers identify offenders and support enforcement action. Nuisance antisocial behaviour. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to carry out high-visibility patrols in Otford and Shoreham to provide reassurance to residents, deter antisocial behaviour and identify any emerging issues. Reports of antisocial behaviour have remained low during this reporting period, which is a positive sign for the local community. Although incidents have been limited, officers will continue to monitor the area, respond to concerns raised by residents and take action where necessary. This priority will be reviewed to ensure it continues to reflect the issues that matter most to the community and remains aligned with local policing demand. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents and concerns, as information from the public helps officers identify emerging issues early, target patrols effectively and direct resources where they are needed most. Road safety. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to prioritise road safety in Otford and Shoreham through targeted patrols and enforcement activity. Speed checks are carried out at locations where concerns have been raised, helping to identify speeding drivers and improve safety for all road users. A speed enforcement operation took place on 9 September 2026 on Shoreham Road, Otford, and a further 5 speed check dates are planned before the end of November, alongside additional checks at varying times and locations. Residents are encouraged to report dangerous, antisocial or inconsiderate driving, as information from the community helps officers identify problem locations and direct enforcement activity where it is most needed. Through ongoing patrols, speed enforcement and community engagement, officers continue to work to improve road safety and reduce offending on local roads. Actioned 30 September 2026
