Hextable

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Criminal damage.

Issued 03 February 2026

The local officer continues to patrol the ward and review recent call data. At this time, no clear patterns of criminal damage have been identified that would require targeted action. Officers will continue to monitor the situation closely.

We encourage all incidents of criminal damage to be reported. Each report helps us build a clearer picture of any emerging issues, identify those involved, and respond effectively.

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

The local officer is planning dedicated days of action to carry out speed checks on roads highlighted by residents as areas of concern. At present, the officer is covering both Swanley and Hextable and must also respond to emergency calls, which can affect availability for routine speed checks.

The officer has been in regular contact with Kent County Councillor Dean Truder about speeding concerns and has also met with the team responsible for managing the Speedwatch vans. These vans are deployed using set criteria, including collision data, which helps decide where they can be used.

Reports from residents continue to be reviewed to identify the roads most affected by speeding. This helps ensure future activity is targeted where it will have the greatest impact.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Local beat officers are taking a proactive approach to tackling antisocial behaviour. The green area next to Home Hill Road has seen a recent increase in reports, and officers will be focusing patrols there at the times issues are most often reported to help identify those involved.

Residents are encouraged to report incidents of antisocial behaviour online. Reporting helps police direct resources to the areas where they are needed most and respond effectively.
