Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 14 April 2026

Kent Police has been proactively addressing reports of antisocial behaviour in Eynsford through increased high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas, particularly during evenings and weekends. Officers continue to engage with residents and partner agencies to deter nuisance behaviour and provide reassurance to the community. Early intervention measures, including advice and Community Protection Warnings where appropriate, have been used to prevent issues from escalating.

A local problem management plan is in place for the Riverside area and is regularly reviewed to help identify emerging issues and support targeted problem-solving. Officers also work closely with Sevenoaks District Council to address concerns and develop long-term solutions.

The local officer is continuing to engage with residents through community events and discussions about antisocial behaviour and other local priorities. A Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) is due to come into effect during July 2026, providing additional powers to help tackle antisocial behaviour and improve community safety. Residents are encouraged to join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive updates and stay in direct contact with their local neighbourhood officer.

Farming equipment theft.

Issued 14 April 2026

Kent Police has been actively working to prevent and detect the theft of farming equipment in and around Eynsford through targeted rural patrols and close engagement with the farming community. Officers are working alongside the Rural Task Force and using FarmWatch to share information, develop intelligence and respond quickly to emerging concerns.

Crime prevention remains a key focus, with officers promoting property marking, forensic marking kits and secure storage measures to help reduce the risk of theft. Intelligence-led operations and partnership working with neighbouring policing teams are also helping to disrupt organised criminals involved in rural crime.

Farmers and landowners are encouraged to report suspicious activity as soon as possible, as information from the community plays an important role in identifying offenders and supporting investigations. Updates, crime prevention advice and local policing information continue to be shared through My Community Voice (MCV) to help keep residents and businesses informed.
