Brasted, Chevening and Sundridge

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Vehicle crime.

Issued 03 February 2026

Vehicle crime remains an issue across the Sevenoaks district and surrounding areas, with offenders targeting both vehicles and items left inside them.

Beat officers have increased patrols in identified hotspot locations and are working closely with CCTV operators and neighbouring police forces to help identify those responsible.

Officers continue to provide crime‑prevention advice to residents and encourage the prompt reporting of any suspicious activity. This helps police target patrols and take action where it is needed most.

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

A number of vehicles have been seized for having no valid tax, using powers delegated by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The local officer will continue this work as part of ongoing enforcement activity.

We also plan to work closely with the Road Safety Unit to increase Community Speedwatch activity in the area. This will help address speeding concerns and improve safety for all road users.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Burglary - residential.

Issued 03 February 2026

There have been two reports of residential burglary in this area within the last three months. Local officers attend all residential burglaries so they can carry out early enquiries, look for potential suspects, and alert nearby residents where needed. Officers also provide tailored crime‑prevention advice to those affected.

We are working closely with our proactive Criminal Investigation Department to identify those responsible. Each incident is being reviewed to see whether there are any links to other similar offences in the local area or wider district.
