Ash and New Ash Green

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance/catapults.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers have increased patrols across the surrounding area and are speaking with local residents and businesses to encourage the reporting of antisocial behaviour. This helps officers identify those involved and respond more effectively.

The Child‑Centred Policing Team is supporting this work by helping to identify individuals believed to be linked to these incidents. Local officers will continue to prioritise this issue and work closely with the local authority to address ongoing concerns.

Reports of catapult use continue in this area. We ask members of the public to report any concerns to the police. If it is safe to do so, information such as descriptions or images can help officers identify those involved. Please do not put yourself at risk.

Vehicle crime.

Issued 03 February 2026

The local officer has reviewed recent reports of vehicle crime and, has directed district officers to patrol the affected area at key times. This aims to deter offending and help identify those involved.

Officers are using information‑led tactics to help identify, locate and track vehicles linked to these offences.

We remain committed to maintaining a visible police presence, gathering relevant information, and taking proactive action to disrupt those responsible. The local officer will continue to monitor the situation and respond to any further reports of vehicle theft in this area and nearby locations.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Criminal damage.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers continue to respond to reports of antisocial behaviour and related damage by carrying out targeted patrols in the areas most affected.

Work is also taking place with local schools and partner agencies to help prevent issues from escalating and address concerns at an early stage.

Both the Beat Team and the Child‑Centred Policing Team have recently spoken with individuals involved in antisocial behaviour and taken appropriate action.

Residents are encouraged to report incidents of antisocial behaviour online so police resources can be focused where they are needed most.
