Road safety issues.

Officers continue to monitor Hewitts Roundabout and enforce the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in partnership with Sevenoaks District Council. A PSPO is a legal order that sets rules for how a public area can be used and allows action to be taken against behaviour that has a negative impact on the community.

Sevenoaks District Council has issued a number of fines to people found breaching the PSPO.

We encourage residents to report any road safety concerns. This helps us target patrols and plan days of action with the road safety team in the areas where they are needed most.

Burglary - residential.

There have been three reports of residential burglary in this area within the last three months. Local officers attend all residential burglaries to carry out early enquiries, look for potential suspects, and provide tailored crime‑prevention advice. Where appropriate, nearby residents are also alerted.

We are working closely with our proactive Criminal Investigation Department to identify those responsible. Each incident is being reviewed to check for any links to other similar offences in the local area.

Farming equipment thefts.

Local officers are increasing engagement with farmers and agricultural landowners to provide crime‑prevention advice and distribute SelectaDNA marking kits.

Any reported thefts will be shared with the local officer, who will work closely with the investigation team to explore all opportunities to identify those responsible.
