Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

There have been no reported burglaries in the area over the past 3 months. Despite this positive position, the local neighbourhood officer will continue to make burglary prevention and community safety a priority through ongoing patrols, engagement and crime prevention activity. Local officers are aware of the ongoing car meets and associated reckless driving at Hewitts Roundabout. The Roads Policing Unit is carrying out targeted enforcement activity to deter and disrupt these gatherings, while local officers continue to work with the local authority and National Highways to explore measures that will make the location less attractive for this type of activity. Farming equipment theft. Issued 14 April 2026 |
There have been no reported thefts of farming equipment in the area during the past three months. Despite this, local officers remain committed to tackling rural crime through regular patrols and ongoing engagement with the farming community. Farmers, landowners and rural businesses are encouraged to join FarmWatch, which helps police and the rural community share information, receive crime prevention advice and report suspicious activity quickly.
