Fawkham and West Kingsdown

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

The local officer is working with colleagues across the Neighbourhood Team to plan dedicated days of action for speed checks in the area. This includes working with the team that manages the Speedwatch vans, which are deployed using key information such as collision data.

The local officer is also reviewing reports submitted by residents to identify the roads and locations most affected by road‑safety concerns. This helps ensure future activity is targeted where it is needed most.

Nuisance vehicles.

Issued 03 February 2026

Local beat officers are taking a proactive approach to tackling antisocial behaviour through targeted patrols in hotspot areas, early engagement with schools, and close partnership working with local agencies. Officers from both the Beat Team and the Child‑Centred Policing Team have recently spoken with individuals linked to antisocial behaviour and taken positive action where needed.

Since last year, officers have carried out regular patrols in St Edmund’s Church Woods and along Fawkham Road. This work has led to a significant reduction in reports of nuisance vehicles.

Work is ongoing to identify riders and the addresses where motorcycles may be stored. Officers are using information provided by members of the public to build intelligence and take effective action.

Residents are encouraged to report incidents of antisocial behaviour online. Reporting helps police target patrols and focus resources where they are needed most.

Drug taking.

Issued 03 February 2026

Beat officers take a proactive approach to tackling drug‑related crime. This includes using stop and search powers where appropriate and carrying out regular patrols in areas where drug activity has previously been reported.

Officers also use information from residents and members of the public to help focus patrols, disrupt drug supply, and take positive action.

In addition, officers work closely with partner agencies to support vulnerable people who may be affected by drug exploitation.

We encourage anyone with concerns or information to report them. This helps ensure police resources are used effectively and issues are addressed early.
