Seal and Weald

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Poaching.

Issued 03 February 2026

Kent Police continues to tackle poaching as part of its wider work to address wildlife crime. This includes offences such as hare coursing, illegal hunting and other harm to wildlife and protected habitats.

Local beat officers are carrying out proactive patrols in the rural areas of Seal and Weald to help identify people and vehicles linked to poaching activity.

Kent Police works closely with specialist wildlife officers and partner agencies to investigate and prevent these offences, helping to protect local wildlife and the countryside.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspected poaching so that officers can take action.

Drugs.

Issued 03 February 2026

Beat officers take a proactive approach to tackling drug‑related crime. This includes carrying out regular patrols in areas where concerns have been reported and using stop and search powers where appropriate to disrupt drug supply.

Officers also work closely with partner agencies to support vulnerable people who may be affected by drug exploitation.

We encourage members of the public to report any concerns or information. This helps police focus resources effectively and take action where it is needed most.

Burglary residential.

Issued 03 February 2026

There have been no reports of residential burglary in this area in the last three months. However, Kent Police continues to focus on preventing burglary through proactive patrols, crime‑prevention activity and strong engagement with the community.

Officers provide practical advice to help reduce the risk of burglary. This includes securing homes, marking property, and using alarms and CCTV to deter offenders.

Proactive patrols and investigations have also helped identify and arrest burglary suspects. Recent cases have resulted in significant prison sentences for offenders involved in wider burglary series across the county.

Local beat teams will continue to patrol areas identified as higher risk, providing reassurance to residents and helping to prevent offences. High‑visibility patrols have taken place during the autumn months to deter crime, increase police presence and support the community.
