Nuisance vehicles.

Officers continue to respond to concerns about nuisance vehicles and the illegal use of e-bikes in Dunton Green and Riverhead. Targeted patrols are carried out where possible to identify those responsible and address concerns raised by residents. Officers are working closely with the Parish Council and reviewing CCTV footage to help identify offenders and gather evidence. Where individuals are identified, officers will consider the use of antisocial behaviour powers, road traffic legislation and other appropriate enforcement measures.

Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents and sharing information with Kent Police. Information provided by the community plays an important role in helping officers identify offenders, build intelligence and target patrols and enforcement activity where it is most needed. Through ongoing patrols, partnership working and community engagement, officers continue to work to reduce nuisance vehicle use and improve community safety.

Officers continue to carry out targeted patrols in locations affected by antisocial behaviour, helping to identify those responsible, deter offending and provide reassurance to residents. Information from the community is used to direct patrols to areas where concerns are greatest and to support ongoing enforcement activity. By working closely with local partners and residents, officers continue to address antisocial behaviour, improve community safety and take action where necessary to prevent further incidents. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns, as information from the public plays a vital role in helping officers identify emerging issues and target resources effectively.

Drug use.

Officers continue to work with partner agencies to address concerns about drug-related activity in Dunton Green. Information from residents, partner organisations and local enquiries is used to identify those involved in criminal activity and target locations linked to offending.

Officers also make proactive use of stop and search powers where there are lawful grounds to do so. A stop and search is a police power that allows officers to search a person for items such as illegal drugs, weapons or stolen property when certain legal conditions are met. Through ongoing patrols, enforcement activity and close partnership working, officers continue to disrupt drug-related crime, reduce its impact on the community and improve safety for local residents.
