Vehicle crime. Issued 03 February 2026	Vehicle crime continues to be an issue across the Sevenoaks district and surrounding areas, with offenders targeting both vehicles and items left inside them. Beat officers have increased patrols in identified hotspot locations and are working closely with intelligence teams and neighbouring police forces to help identify those responsible. Officers are also providing crime‑prevention advice to residents and encouraging people to report any suspicious activity promptly. Burglary residential Issued 03 February 2026	There has been one report of a residential burglary in this area within the last three months. Kent Police continues to focus on preventing burglary through proactive policing and strong engagement with the community. Officers work to reduce the risk of burglary by providing practical crime‑prevention advice. This includes securing homes, marking property, and using alarms and CCTV to deter offenders. Proactive patrols and investigations have also led to the identification and arrest of burglary suspects. Recent cases across the county have resulted in significant prison sentences for offenders involved in wider burglary series. Local Beat Teams will continue to patrol areas identified as higher risk, providing reassurance to residents and helping to prevent further offences.
