Ringlestone

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Catapults.

Issued 03 February 2026

Officers continue to take action when reports are received about young people using catapults. Where appropriate, stop and search powers are used to help identify those involved.

Referrals are made to families, schools and the Child‑Centred Policing Team to help address behaviour early and prevent further issues.

We are also working with Maidstone Borough Council and other partner organisations to agree the best approach to keeping the river area safe, particularly during the summer months when use of the area increases.

Drug taking.

Issued 03 February 2026

Targeted patrols are being carried out using information provided by members of the public.

Actioned 30 March 2026

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Police patrols have been increased, with local officers assigned to specific reports of antisocial behaviour. Officers are working closely with housing providers to identify those involved and encourage early intervention to prevent behaviour from continuing.

Interventions used include Community Protection Warnings, Community Protection Notices and injunctions. A Community Protection Warning is a formal written warning telling someone to stop behaviour that is having a negative impact on the community. If the behaviour continues, a Community Protection Notice can be issued, which is a legal notice requiring the behaviour to stop. Injunctions can also be used in more serious or persistent cases to restrict certain behaviour.
