Boughton Monchelsea & Chart Sutton

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Alcohol.

Issued 14 April 2026

Officers have carried out high-visibility patrols across the area to identify locations affected by alcohol-related issues.

No specific hotspots have been identified at this time. Patrols will continue to monitor the situation, provide reassurance and help prevent any future problems.

Drug taking.

Issued 14 April 2026

High-visibility patrols are continuing in areas affected by drug activity, with stop and search powers used where appropriate. Stop and search is a legal power that allows officers to search people for items such as drugs.

No drugs have been found during recent patrols, but this visible presence helps deter offending. Officers are also carrying out drug warrants (legal permission to search a property) and using Closure Orders (legal powers to shut down properties causing serious problems) at identified addresses.

Issued 14 April 2026

We have carried out joint days of action with Maidstone Borough Council’s Waste Crime Team to target fly‑tipping hotspots, vehicles and offenders.

We continue to share information to identify those responsible and take action against them.
