Grove Green & Vinters Park

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

E-scooters/e-bikes.

Issued 14 April 2026

High‑visibility patrols have taken place in key areas, including Grovewood Drive South, Tesco and Weavering Street, at times when issues are most likely.

E‑scooters remain illegal to use on public roads and in public places unless part of an approved scheme. This has been shared through community messaging and school visits to help raise awareness, particularly among young people.

Officers will continue to educate the public and take action where needed, including seizing illegal e‑scooters.

Vehicle crime.

Issued 14 April 2026

We continue to carry out proactive patrols using marked and unmarked police vehicles.

Officers are also working closely with the parish council, residents and local businesses to provide crime prevention advice and reassurance, helping to reduce vehicle crime.

Road safety issues.

Issued 14 April 2026

Regular patrols using marked police vehicles have led to a number of vehicles being stopped and dealt with for traffic offences.

Community Speed Watch has taken place in areas including Grovewood Drive North, New Cut Road, Sittingbourne Road and Penenden Heath. Community Speed Watch is a scheme where trained volunteers work with police to monitor speeding vehicles and raise awareness of road safety.

We will continue to patrol the area and take action against traffic offences.
