Penenden Heath

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Road safety issues.

Issued 14 April 2026

Road safety remains a priority, and increased patrols have been carried out in response to concerns raised by residents. Community Speedwatch activity has taken place on Boxley Road and Sittingbourne Road to help monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety issues. Road safety was also discussed at a recent ward cluster meeting, where residents were encouraged to sign up to Kent Community Speedwatch. This volunteer scheme supports police efforts to tackle speeding and improve safety on local roads. Officers will continue to patrol the area and respond to concerns raised by the community.

Antisocial behaviour - general.

Issued 14 April 2026

High-visibility patrols continue to help reduce antisocial behaviour in the area, and we are currently seeing fewer reports being made. Following an increase in nuisance vehicle incidents last summer, officers are prepared to respond robustly to any repeat issues this year.

If you see motorcycles or other vehicles being ridden unlawfully on the Heath and it is safe to do so, please report as much information as possible, including descriptions, locations and any registration numbers. This information helps officers identify those responsible and take appropriate action. We will continue to patrol identified hotspot areas and respond to concerns raised by the community.

Actioned 03 July 2026

Criminal damage.

Issued 14 April 2026

Reports of criminal damage have remained relatively consistent, with two incidents reported in April 2026. These were isolated incidents, and suspects were identified in both cases. Officers will continue to monitor reports, investigate offences and take appropriate action where those responsible can be identified. Residents are encouraged to report any incidents or suspicious activity to help prevent further offences and support ongoing investigations.
