Officers continue to carry out high-visibility patrols in response to concerns about the misuse of catapults. These patrols help identify offenders, respond to reports and provide reassurance to the community. Recently, two suspects were identified and interviewed as part of ongoing enquiries. Through patrols, engagement and enforcement activity, officers continue to address concerns and help keep local areas safe.

Nuisance motorcycles.

Officers continue to tackle nuisance motorcycles through proactive patrols and a rapid response to reports from the community. Both uniformed and plain-clothes officers are used to identify offenders and gather evidence. Where individuals are identified, appropriate action is taken, including Community Protection Warnings, Section 59 warnings and vehicle seizures.

A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning given when a person's behaviour is having a negative impact on the community. A Section 59 warning can be issued when a vehicle is being used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others, and continued misuse may result in the vehicle being seized. Through enforcement and ongoing patrols, officers continue to work to reduce nuisance motorcycle use and improve community safety.

Drug dealing.

Officers continue to tackle drug dealing through a combination of high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols in areas where concerns have been raised. Information gathered from community meetings and reports from residents has helped officers build intelligence, carry out stop and searches where there are lawful grounds, seize illegal drugs and arrest those suspected of being involved in drug-related crime. Officers will continue to develop information received from the public and take action to disrupt drug dealing and improve community safety.
