Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

E-scooters/Bikes. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers have been carrying out regular patrols in areas where concerns have been raised about the use of e-scooters and electric bikes. During these patrols, officers have spoken with members of the public, identified riders where possible, and provided advice about using these vehicles safely and legally. This work aims to address concerns raised by residents, improve public safety, and reduce antisocial behaviour linked to the misuse of e-scooters and electric bikes. In addition, requests have been made for CCTV cameras to be installed in key locations. If approved, these cameras will help monitor the area, identify offenders, gather evidence, and support action against those using e-scooters and electric bikes irresponsibly or unlawfully. Road safety issues. Issued 20 July 2026	Road safety remains a priority following concerns raised by local residents. In response, officers have carried out proactive road safety checks in the area, using speed detection equipment to monitor traffic and identify drivers exceeding the speed limit. These checks have taken place on roads where speeding has been reported as a concern by the community. The aim is to encourage safer driving, improve compliance with speed limits, and help protect all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable people. Where appropriate, drivers may be given advice, education or enforcement action. This work helps reduce speeding, prevent collisions and make local roads safer for everyone. Regular high-visibility patrols have been carried out to provide reassurance to residents, deter offending and identify any criminal activity taking place in public spaces. These patrols also provide opportunities to speak with local people and gather information about community concerns while maintaining a visible police presence. Officers will continue to monitor locations where issues have been reported and will take appropriate action where evidence of drug-related activity or antisocial behaviour is identified.
