Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

These patrols help identify those involved in offending, provide reassurance to residents and allow officers to take action where there are lawful grounds to do so. This may include stop and searches. A stop and search is a police power that allows officers to search a person for items such as illegal drugs, weapons or stolen property when certain legal conditions are met. Where controlled drugs are found, offenders are dealt with appropriately, which may include an out-of-court disposal for lower-level offences. E-scooters/Bikes. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to take action against the illegal and antisocial use of nuisance motorcycles and off-road vehicles. Targeted patrols and enforcement activity have resulted in several vehicles being seized, helping to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve community safety. Officers also continue to identify and deal with individuals using vehicles unlawfully or in a manner that causes concern to local residents. During a recent patrol, officers stopped an illegally used e-bike, which was subsequently seized. The rider was reported for driving without a licence, driving without insurance and failing to stop when required by police. Through ongoing patrols, enforcement activity and community engagement, officers remain committed to tackling dangerous and unlawful vehicle use and improving safety within the community. Following a recent report of antisocial vehicle use, officers identified a quad bike rider and dealt with them for multiple road traffic offences. The rider was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR), which is a formal process used to deal with road traffic offences, after being found to be driving without insurance and without the correct licence. Through ongoing patrols, enforcement and engagement with the community, officers continue to work to make local roads safer for everyone. Actioned 30 September 2026
