Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

Drug dealing. Issued 20 July 2026	Local beat officers have been carrying out targeted patrols in locations where drug use has been reported or identified. These patrols have led to an increase in stop and searches of people suspected of possessing illegal drugs. As a result, officers have seized illegal substances and taken action against those found to be breaking the law. This proactive approach helps disrupt drug-related activity and reduce the harm it causes within the community. Actioned 30 September 2026
E-Scooters. Issued 20 July 2026	While carrying out regular patrols across the ward, local officers have stopped and seized a number of vehicles and bikes being used in a way that causes nuisance or antisocial behaviour. Action has been taken where offences have been identified, helping to improve safety and reduce disruption for local residents. Officers have also issued several Section 59 warnings. A Section 59 warning can be given when a vehicle is used in a manner that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to the public. If the same rider or driver is involved in similar behaviour again, the vehicle may be seized by police. Actioned 30 September 2026
