Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to work with residents, businesses, community groups and partner organisations to address antisocial behaviour in the area. By attending local events, community centres, places of worship and regular community surgeries, officers are able to listen to concerns, provide crime prevention advice and raise awareness of how antisocial behaviour can be reported. Officers have also issued Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) to households linked to persistent antisocial behaviour. A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning given when a person's behaviour is having a negative impact on the community and is intended to prevent further problems before stronger action becomes necessary. During the summer holiday period, officers increased patrols in Pegasus Way and Gillingham Pier in response to reports of youth-related antisocial behaviour. Working closely with partner agencies and using CCTV where available, officers identified a number of individuals involved and took appropriate action where offences were identified. Through ongoing patrols, community engagement and partnership working, officers continue to tackle antisocial behaviour and improve community safety. Actioned 30 September 2026

Issued 20 July 2026	Officers have carried out joint visits with partner organisations to address concerns about drug use and related criminal activity at Keswick Court, Hazlemere Drive, Victory Place and St Albans Close. Working closely with housing providers, officers continue to respond to reports of drug use and drug-related antisocial behaviour, ensuring concerns are investigated and appropriate action is taken. Regular high-visibility patrols are also carried out in identified hotspot locations to deter offending, gather information and provide reassurance to local residents. Through ongoing partnership working and enforcement activity, officers continue to tackle drug-related issues and improve community safety. Actioned 30 September 2026

Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to work with partners to tackle nuisance motorcycles and antisocial vehicle use in Gillingham Green, Queen Elizabeth Recreation Ground, The Vineries and surrounding areas. Increased high-visibility patrols are carried out at times when concerns are most frequently reported, helping to deter offending, identify those responsible and provide reassurance to residents. Officers also work closely with housing providers to investigate reports and address concerns raised by the community. Where appropriate, officers engage directly with young people and their parents, providing advice, issuing warnings and putting safeguarding measures in place to help prevent further incidents. Information gathered through patrols and reports from residents is shared with specialist teams to support enforcement activity and ongoing efforts to tackle nuisance motorcycles and related antisocial behaviour. Through partnership working, targeted patrols and community engagement, officers continue to work to improve safety and reduce the impact of nuisance vehicles on local residents.
