Gillingham North

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Issued 03 February 2026

We attended local events, community centres and faith centres, and held monthly drop‑in sessions to listen to concerns about antisocial behaviour. Officers explained how to recognise antisocial behaviour and how to report it properly.

We are also working closely with housing providers and have set up a joint drop‑in session with Medway Housing at Keswick Court on 10 June 2026. Where issues have been identified, warnings and acceptable behaviour agreements have been issued to those causing problems.

Issued 03 February 2026

We increased high‑visibility patrols during busy times around Gillingham Green, QE Recreational Grounds, The Vineries and nearby areas. Officers carried out joint visits with housing partners to help identify those responsible.

We also spoke directly with young people and their parents to issue warnings and offer support where needed. Information has been recorded and shared with specialist teams so further action can be taken.
