Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Issued 20 July 2026	Officers continue to work with partners to address concerns about nuisance vehicles in Hoath Way, Wigmore Road and Finberry. In response to reports from residents, officers have carried out targeted patrols, gathered vehicle details and developed intelligence to identify those responsible for antisocial vehicle use. This work has led to the issuing of Section 59 warnings and the seizure of vehicles where offences have been identified. A Section 59 warning can be issued when a vehicle is being used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others, and continued offending may result in the vehicle being seized. Officers continue to work with partner organisations and local representatives to explore longer-term solutions, while information submitted by residents helps support ongoing investigations and enforcement activity. E-scooters and E-bikes. Issued 20 July 2026	Officers have increased their presence in key locations across Gillingham, including around Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, to tackle the illegal use of e-bikes and e-scooters. Targeted patrols and enforcement activity have resulted in several vehicles being seized where offences have been identified. Officers also continue to work closely with local businesses and security staff to share information, address concerns and support ongoing efforts to improve safety and reduce antisocial behaviour in the area. Regular engagement with store staff helps officers identify offenders, gather information and take appropriate action where offences have been committed. This partnership approach supports intelligence gathering, helps target repeat offenders and improves safety for businesses, staff and customers.
