Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Nuisance bikes.

Issued 21 April 2026

Following reports of nuisance e-scooter and e-bike use, officers carried out targeted patrols which led to a number of illegally used vehicles being seized and helped reduce associated antisocial behaviour.

On 6 June 2026, a joint operation involving Roads Policing and Immigration Enforcement took place in Gravesend town centre and surrounding areas, including Perry Street, resulting in further vehicle stops and seizures.

Officers will continue to carry out proactive patrols and targeted enforcement activity to tackle nuisance vehicles, deter offending and improve public safety.

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 21 April 2026

Regular patrols are being carried out to identify those responsible for antisocial behaviour (ASB) and take appropriate action where necessary. Officers continue to work with local residents and partner agencies to address ongoing concerns and prevent further incidents.

A range of measures have already been used in the area, including Community Protection Warnings (CPWs), Acceptable Behaviour Agreements (ABAs) and Community Protection Notices (CPNs). These interventions are designed to challenge unacceptable behaviour and encourage positive change, with breaches potentially resulting in further enforcement action. Officers will continue to patrol identified areas and respond to reports from the community to help keep the area safe.

Speeding.

Issued 21 April 2026

Speedwatch is being organised in response to concerns about speeding in the area. Volunteers are currently being recruited and trained so they can carry out future Speedwatch sessions locally. Speedwatch is a community-led scheme that allows trained volunteers to work with police to monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety concerns. A My Community Voice (MCV) message has been shared to encourage more residents to get involved. Officers will continue to support the scheme and work with the community to improve road safety.
