Coldharbour & Perry Street

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 03 February 2026

Kent Police have been tackling antisocial behaviour by carrying out closed‑circuit television (CCTV) checks in affected areas to help identify those responsible. Where appropriate, images have been used to work with Child‑Centred Policing teams and local schools to identify young people, give advice, and make parents aware.

We have also addressed ongoing issues in residential areas by obtaining closure orders on properties linked to repeat anti‑social behaviour. These orders prevent access to the property for up to three months, and we are working with the council to seek permanent closures where needed. Officers continue to carry out high‑visibility patrols in problem areas to reassure residents and deter further antisocial behaviour.

Nuisance bikes.

Issued 03 February 2026

Kent Police have been tackling nuisance bikes by working with members of the public to gather closed‑circuit television footage to help identify riders. Once identified, offenders have been visited and issued with a Section 59 warning. This is a formal warning given when a vehicle is used in an antisocial way, such as causing alarm or distress. If the same vehicle or rider is involved again, the vehicle can be seized.

We have also increased high‑visibility patrols in problem areas to deter nuisance biking and are working with the council to discuss additional traffic measures that may help prevent further antisocial riding.

Actioned 01 April 2026

Speeding.

Issued 03 February 2026

Kent Police are carrying out targeted speed checks in known problem areas, particularly Coldharbour Road, and maintaining a visible police presence. We have also contacted the Roads Policing Team to propose a joint day of action focused on speeding. In addition, our Speed Watch team will carry out site surveys to help identify the times of day when speeding is most likely to be an issue.
