Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Road traffic matters on A227, bad driving. Issued 21 July 2026	Concerns around speeding and poor driving on the A227 remain a local priority. Officers regularly patrol this route as part of their daily duties, providing a visible police presence and opportunities to engage with road users. In addition, Community Speedwatch volunteers continue to monitor traffic in the area, helping to raise awareness of road safety and encourage compliance with speed limits. We will continue to support efforts aimed at improving safety for all road users on this busy route. Actioned 30 September 2026
Nuisance vehicles. Issued 21 July 2026	Officers continue to take action against nuisance vehicles and irresponsible riding in the area. During a recent patrol, officers identified an e-bike being ridden in a manner that put other road users at risk and nearly caused a collision. The rider left the area, but the vehicle was located and seized. Officers later identified and stopped the rider as part of their ongoing enquiries. Regular patrols continue across the area to deter the antisocial use of vehicles, identify offenders and improve safety for residents and other road users. Information provided by the community helps officers target their activity and take action where concerns are reported. Actioned 30 September 2026
Burglaries and theft related offences. Issued 21 July 2026	Preventing burglary and theft remains a priority for local officers. Regular high-visibility patrols are carried out across the area, particularly in locations where concerns have been raised by residents. Following reports of shed burglaries, patrols have been increased to provide reassurance to the community and help deter further offences. Officers also encourage residents to take simple steps to protect their property, such as securing sheds, garages and outbuildings, locking doors and gates, and reporting any suspicious activity.
