Meopham North

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Burglaries and theft related offences.

Issued 21 April 2026

Regular targeted patrols have been carried out across the DA12 and DA13 areas in response to recent reports of burglary and theft. As part of these enquiries, two offenders were identified following a burglary at Meopham Scout Hut and were each issued with a Community Resolution. A Community Resolution is an out-of-court outcome used, helping offenders take responsibility for their actions while addressing the harm caused.

Officers will continue to patrol identified hotspot areas, support ongoing investigations and work with local communities to help prevent further offences. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity, as information from the public can play an important role in identifying offenders and protecting the community.

Nuisance vehicles.

Issued 21 April 2026

High-visibility patrols continue in areas affected by nuisance vehicle activity, providing a visible deterrent and helping officers identify those responsible. The area is also supported by Speedwatch, a community-led scheme where trained volunteers work with police to monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety concerns.

Officers will continue to patrol identified hotspot locations, respond to reports from residents and take appropriate enforcement action where offences are detected, helping to improve road safety and reduce the impact of nuisance vehicles on the community.

Road traffic matters on A227, bad driving.

Issued 21 April 2026

Community Speedwatch events have been carried out in response to concerns about speeding in the area. Speedwatch is a community-led scheme where trained volunteers work with police to monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety issues.

Officers also carry out patrols of the A227 when operationally possible, providing a visible presence, monitoring driver behaviour and addressing road safety concerns raised by residents. We will continue to support Speedwatch activity and carry out patrols to help improve safety for all road users.
