Painters Ash
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Off road bikes. Issued 21 April 2026 |
Officers continue to take action against the illegal use of off-road bikes in the area. A number of vehicles have been seized and fixed penalty notices issued where offences have been identified. Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) have also been issued to repeat offenders as an early intervention measure to deter further antisocial behaviour. Actioned 03 July 2026 |

Drug dealing. Issued 21 April 2026 |
In response to concerns about suspected drug dealing and related activity, officers have continued to carry out regular high-visibility patrols and targeted enforcement in the area. Officers are also proactively engaging with residents and using stop and search powers where lawful grounds exist. A stop and search is a legal power that allows officers to search people for items linked to criminal activity, including illegal drugs. Actioned 03 July 2026 |

Theft shoplifting. Issued 21 April 2026 |
In response to concerns about theft and shoplifting, officers have increased patrols in key locations and continue to work closely with local businesses to reduce offending. Efforts have focused on improving reporting processes, sharing information and supporting retailers in identifying repeat offenders. This partnership approach helps build stronger cases against those responsible and has contributed to more offenders being identified, charged and brought before the courts. Officers will continue to work with businesses and carry out proactive patrols to deter theft and support the local community. Actioned 03 July 2026 |
