Nethercourt
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Drug dealing. Issued 03 November 2025 |
Officers have been working to tackle drug‑related crime in the area, including drug driving. Arrests have been made for both drug possession and drug‑driving offences. Officers have also been carrying out regular stop‑and‑search activity under the Misuse of Drugs Act, where legal grounds existed, taking positive action at every stage to disrupt criminal activity and keep the community safe. Actioned 14 January 2026 |

E-scooters. Issued 03 November 2025 |
We’ve been taking action to tackle the illegal use of e‑scooters. It is against the law to ride e‑scooters on public roads, pavements or cycle lanes, they can only be used on private land with the landowner’s permission. Kent is not part of any government rental trial, which means all e‑scooters used in public spaces across the county are illegal. We will continue to enforce the law and keep our roads and pathways safe. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
Homeless/begging. Issued 03 November 2025 |
We understand that reports of homelessness and begging in the area can be worrying for residents. Our officers have been speaking with the local winter shelter and nearby residents to better understand individual needs and the wider impact on the community. Community Protection Notices are being used where appropriate, and where there are legal grounds, arrests will be made. With the shelter close by, officers will continue working closely with partner agencies to offer support where it is needed while also addressing any antisocial behaviour. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
