Central Harbour

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Antisocial behaviour remains a key priority for any town centre, and Ramsgate is no exception. PCs Brown and Taylor have been carrying out regular high‑visibility patrols throughout the area, engaging with the public and responding quickly when issues arise.

We continue to work proactively with individuals involved in persistent antisocial behaviour, offering support where appropriate and taking enforcement action when necessary. This includes issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs), which are legal notices requiring a person to stop behaviour that is causing nuisance or harm. Several cases have also been progressed through the courts, and multiple repeat offenders have been arrested. These actions aim to reduce repeat offending and prevent individuals from returning to the town to cause further disruption.

Please keep telling PC Brown and PC Taylor about anything that concerns you by attending their ward surgeries or contacting them on My Community Voice. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up by visiting www.mycommunityvoicekent.co.uk

Drug taking.

Issued 03 February 2026

Drug use and associated supply activity continue to be robustly targeted within the ward. PCs Brown and Taylor have been carrying out regular stop‑and‑searches where grounds exist, resulting in significant seizures of controlled substances, multiple arrests, valuable intelligence submissions and the disruption of local drug lines.

This work is ongoing and remains a priority for both the community and the officers serving Central Harbour. Please continue to share anything that concerns you with PC Brown and PC Taylor by attending their ward surgeries or by contacting them through My Community Voice. Alcohol.

Issued 03 February 2026

Street drinking and alcohol‑related antisocial behaviour were highlighted as concerns in recent community surveys. In response, PCs Brown and Taylor have been actively patrolling identified problem areas, including the town centre, to address these issues. Repeat offenders have been issued with Community Protection Warnings (CPWs), which are formal notices telling someone that their behaviour must stop.

Officers are also working closely with licensing teams to tackle concerns linked to specific venues. This includes attending meetings with licence holders, sharing information and ensuring issues are dealt with promptly and effectively.

Please continue to tell PC Brown and PC Taylor about anything that concerns you by attending their ward surgeries or contacting them on My Community Voice. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up by visiting www.mycommunityvoicekent.co.uk
