Northwood
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Vehicle crime/E-scooters. Issued 03 November 2025 |
We’ve been taking action to tackle illegal e‑scooter use and vehicle‑related crime in the area. Where officers had the legal grounds to do so, cars were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and this has led to positive results. We have also issued Section 59 notices under the Road Traffic Act to drivers whose vehicles were causing antisocial behaviour. Alongside this, PC Howard is running a dedicated roads policing operation to identify and deal with those involved in vehicle crime. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
Violent crime. Issued 03 November 2025 |
Officers are working closely with other Kent Police teams and partner agencies to keep the community safe. High‑visibility foot patrols and mobile patrols will be carried out in the areas that matter most to residents, helping to prevent and reduce violent crime. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
Dog fouling. Issued 03 November 2025 |
We recognise that dog fouling can negatively affect residents’ quality of life and has the potential to spoil the shared coastal paths. Officers have raised the issue with partner agencies and requested increased monitoring of the area. High‑visibility patrols will continue to be carried out to help prevent further problems and reassure the community. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
