Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

Drug taking. Issued 03 February 2026	Drug use and drug‑related activity continue to be serious issues affecting communities across the country, and Sir Moses Montefiore is no exception. Because of this, it remains an important focus for local residents and for Kent Police. Tackling drug use and the antisocial behaviour linked to it is a key priority. PC Lawford and PC Parsons regularly patrol the areas where drug use and dealing have been reported. They carry out high‑visibility foot patrols, wearing easily recognisable uniforms and focusing on the times and places where issues are most likely to occur. Where grounds exist, officers will stop and search suspects and arrest those connected to drug offending. Drug crime affects many wards across Thanet, so the team also targets individuals who cross into Ramsgate to deal drugs. Much of this work is driven by information and intelligence from the community, and your reports are vital in helping officers focus on the right areas and take effective action. This includes issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs) — legal notices requiring someone to change behaviour that is causing nuisance or harm, and, in more serious cases, progressing matters through the courts.
