Kingsgate
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

E-scooters/e-bikes. Issued 03 February 2026 |
PC Absolon understands that e‑scooters and e‑bikes are a regular source of frustration and concern for local residents. When out on patrol, he stops riders to explain the rules and why unsafe or illegal use causes problems for others. He takes a firm approach with anyone who refuses to listen, and when necessary, he will seize e‑scooters and take enforcement action. Actioned 17 March 2026 |

Road safety. Issued 03 February 2026 |
PC Absolon is fully committed to addressing road safety issues. Reducing dangerous driving cannot be fixed with a single roadside check, so he is taking a longer‑term approach to identify which roads pose the greatest risk. As part of this work, he has been speaking with drivers across his wards, reminding them about safe speeds and the importance of protecting others who use the roads. Actioned 17 March 2026 |

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance. Issued 03 February 2026 |
PC Absolon has continued focusing on reducing antisocial behaviour in the area. He has been patrolling the places residents have highlighted, speaking with groups to explain how their behaviour can affect others in the community. Actioned 17 March 2026 |
