Thanet Villages
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Fly tipping. Issued 03 February 2026 |
PC Crush knows how important it is to keep the countryside and green spaces in the Thanet Villages clean and safe. Fly‑tipping, when rubbish is dumped where it shouldn’t be, is usually handled by the local council, but police officers will always step in if they witness a crime and will support partner agencies when needed. Actioned 17 March 2026 |

Dog fouling. Issued 03 February 2026 |
Dog mess continues to be a problem in this area, and it is mainly dealt with by Thanet District Council’s enforcement team. However, PC Crush is always ready to support the council when needed, this can include helping with investigations or assisting when action needs to be taken against people who do not clean up after their dogs. Actioned 17 March 2026 |

E-scooters/e-bikes. Issued 03 February 2026 |
Using privately owned e‑scooters and some types of e‑bikes on public roads is still illegal. Because of this, these vehicles are regularly seized by police across Thanet, and riders can face prosecution for breaking driving laws. Actioned 17 March 2026 |
