Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Antisocial behaviour - general. Issued 15 July 2026	PC England has been working with the Birchington South community to better understand and tackle antisocial behaviour. Feedback gathered through community meetings, local engagement events and conversations with residents has helped identify the issues that are having the greatest impact on people living and working in the area. Officers are also working with the local council to address reports of antisocial behaviour. As part of this work, one person has been issued with a Community Protection Warning. This is a formal warning used to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the local community. If the behaviour continues, further action may be taken. Regular high-visibility patrols have taken place in areas where antisocial behaviour has been reported. These patrols help reassure the community, act as a deterrent and provide opportunities for officers to identify and deal with those responsible. Actioned 30 September 2026
E-scooters/E-bikes. Issued 15 July 2026	Concerns about e-scooters and e-bikes have been raised across the area, and officers have carried out targeted activity to address the issue. This has led to a number of illegal e-scooters being seized and removed from use, with riders facing prosecution where offences have been identified. Officers also speak with riders to explain the law and promote the safe and legal use of these vehicles. Where necessary, e-scooters and e-bikes may be seized to prevent continued offending. Police will continue to focus on the misuse of e-scooters and e-bikes, recognising the risks they can pose to riders, pedestrians and other road users. Actioned 30 September 2026
Drink/drug driving. Issued 15 July 2026	PC England continues to focus on tackling drink and drug driving because of the serious risk it poses to everyone using the roads. As part of proactive policing, officers regularly stop vehicles during patrols and carry out roadside checks where appropriate. This work has led to drivers being arrested and prosecuted for drink and drug driving offences. Information from the public is vital in helping police identify and target offenders. Residents are encouraged to report any concerns or information about suspected drink or drug driving, as this helps officers build a clearer picture of local issues and take action against those responsible.
