Nuisance motorcycles.

Issued 13 April 2026

Tackling nuisance motorbike use remains a priority, with officers carrying out intelligence-led patrols, high-visibility policing and targeted enforcement activity in known hotspot locations. Patrols are focused on areas and times where reports are most common, helping to deter offending and provide reassurance to residents.

This activity is supported by information provided by local residents and partner agencies, allowing officers to target resources effectively and respond to emerging issues. Through a combination of enforcement, engagement and partnership working, we continue to disrupt nuisance motorbike activity and reduce its impact on the community.

Actioned 06 July 2026

Road safety issues.

Issued 13 April 2026

Road safety, particularly concerns around speeding, remains a key priority. Officers have carried out targeted patrols and enforcement activity in identified hotspot locations to address issues raised by residents and improve safety for all road users.

In response to concerns about parking and road safety in Milton High Street, Traffic Enforcement Attendants have been deployed to address vehicles parked illegally, including on double yellow lines and pedestrian crossing zig-zags. This activity has helped improve visibility at crossing points and enhance safety for pedestrians.

Ongoing engagement with local residents and partner agencies continues to support a problem-solving approach, ensuring concerns are identified and addressed promptly. Officers will continue to monitor issues, carry out enforcement activity where appropriate and work to encourage safer driving behaviour across the ward.

Actioned 06 July 2026

Fly tipping.

Issued 13 April 2026

Positive progress has been made in tackling fly-tipping through effective partnership working with local housing providers, environmental enforcement teams and other partner agencies. Information sharing and coordinated action have helped identify offenders and support a range of enforcement measures.

This partnership approach recently led to a persistent offender being made subject to a court-issued injunction, restricting further offending behaviour. The use of both enforcement powers and civil measures helps address repeat offending, protect the local environment and improve the quality of life for residents.

Officers will continue to work closely with partner agencies, act on information provided by the community and take appropriate action against those responsible for environmental crime.
