Officers have increased patrols in identified hotspot areas and continue to engage with local young people to educate them on the dangers and consequences of carrying or using catapults. We are also working closely with partner agencies and local schools to raise awareness and prevent incidents from occurring. Any reports received are thoroughly investigated and used to direct future patrol activity.

Nuisance vehicles.

Officers have carried out targeted patrols within known hotspot locations using both marked and unmarked police vehicles, enabling officers to identify offenders, gather intelligence and respond to concerns raised by the community. We continue to work with partner agencies to develop longer-term solutions that reduce opportunities for antisocial vehicle use and improve the local environment. Patrols remain focused on disruption, enforcement and providing reassurance to residents affected by this behaviour.

Drug taking.

Officers have continued to take positive action against individuals involved in drug misuse and associated criminality, with a number of arrests made through proactive patrols and targeted activity.

Patrols have also resulted in the arrest of wanted individuals in locations including Milton Creek Country Park and other public spaces, helping to disrupt criminal activity, safeguard vulnerable people and improve community safety.
