Homewood

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Dog fouling

Issued 03 February 2026

We reported these concerns to Swale Borough Council, which is the lead agency responsible for investigating and enforcing dog‑fouling offences. Feedback from the public highlighted a number of repeat locations, and these have also been passed directly to the council so they can target patrols and take appropriate action. We continue to work in partnership with Swale Borough Council and will support them wherever needed.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Antisocial behaviour nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

PC Atherton has been working closely with Swale Borough Council Greenspaces and allotment wardens to tackle antisocial behaviour at the Riddles Road allotments. This has included encouraging regular reporting and supporting the use of CCTV to help identify those responsible.

We have also addressed concerns about canisters and youth gatherings at Johnson Gardens by carrying out regular high‑visibility patrols. Officers worked with partners to have hedges cut back, removing hiding spots and helping to reduce antisocial behaviour in the area.

Where residents have been facing persistent antisocial behaviour, we have worked jointly with Housing Associations and the Council. This has involved conducting visits, gathering evidence and supporting residents to make sure their concerns are properly addressed.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Nuisance vehicles.

Issued 03 February 2026

We have carried out several traffic operations, resulting in numerous traffic offences being dealt with, vehicles being seized for having no insurance, and drugs being recovered during vehicle searches.

We have been working with Kent County Council Highways to address complaints about vehicles and support appropriate action. We also worked alongside Ward Councillors to help establish a Speedwatch group in the ward, giving residents a direct role in improving road safety.
