Officers continue to carry out targeted patrols and speed checks in locations where road safety concerns have been identified. Speed and collision data is regularly reviewed to help focus enforcement activity where it will have the greatest impact. Officers also work with Police Cadets and Community Speedwatch volunteers to promote safer driving and improve road safety. Through ongoing patrols, enforcement and community engagement, officers continue to respond to concerns raised by residents and take action where unsafe driving is identified.

Nuisance bikes.

Officers have carried out targeted patrols in areas where nuisance vehicles have been reported, including routes commonly used by off-road motorcycles and other vehicles being used in an antisocial manner. Additional warning signs have been installed in problem locations, and officers have used CCTV footage to help identify riders and gather evidence. Information provided by the community continues to support enforcement activity, and officers remain committed to taking action against those whose behaviour affects the safety and wellbeing of local residents.

Wildlife crime issues.

Officers have increased patrols in areas where concerns about wildlife crime involving catapults have been raised. Additional signage has been installed to encourage reporting, raise awareness and educate young people about the harm this behaviour can cause to wildlife and the wider community. Officers will continue to work with residents and partner organisations to identify those responsible, prevent further incidents and protect local wildlife.
