Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Catapults. Issued 21 July 2026	Residents raised concerns about reports of wildlife crime involving the misuse of catapults. In response, officers have carried out targeted patrols in identified hotspot locations, conducted enquiries into reported incidents, and engaged with members of the community to gather information and provide reassurance. Where individuals have been identified, appropriate action has been taken. Officers have also worked to raise awareness of the impact this behaviour can have on local wildlife and the wider community. We will continue to monitor reports, carry out patrols, and work with residents to help prevent further incidents and protect local wildlife. Actioned 30 September 2026
Antisocial behaviour youths. Issued 21 July 2026	Residents raised concerns about antisocial behaviour within the community that was having a negative impact on local people and causing feelings of nuisance and concern. In response, officers worked closely with partner agencies to identify those responsible and take appropriate action to address the issues reported. Alongside enforcement activity, officers have continued to engage positively with young people within the area, building relationships, offering guidance, and helping to prevent antisocial behaviour before it occurs. High-visibility patrols have also been carried out in hotspot locations to provide reassurance to residents and deter further incidents. This combination of enforcement, engagement, and partnership working has helped improve community confidence and reinforce the message that antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated. Nuisance vehicles. Issued 21 July 2026	Officers have carried out targeted patrols using both marked and unmarked police vehicles in hotspot locations across the ward, acting on information provided by the community to identify offenders and build intelligence. Following information from residents, officers identified an individual riding an off-road motorcycle illegally on public roads. The vehicle was subsequently seized, and enforcement action was taken against the rider. This sends a clear message that the illegal use of vehicles which causes alarm, distress and damage within our communities will not be tolerated. We will continue to carry out proactive patrols and take robust action against those responsible. Actioned 30 September 2026
