Sandgate & West Folkestone

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

Nuisance motorcycles and/or e-scooters.

Issued 03 February 2026

There has been one report of an e‑scooter being used in the area. The rider was identified from a description and given clear advice about the law, including where e‑scooters can and cannot be used.

Concerns have also been raised about e‑scooters being used along the seafront. In response, officers have carried out regular foot patrols in these areas to deter issues and provide reassurance.

Reports of nuisance motorbikes have also been received in a nearby wooded area. The local officer has contacted the organisation responsible for the site and is working with them to address the issue and target those involved.

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 03 February 2026

There have been very few reports of antisocial behaviour in the area. However, officers have carried out proactive patrols in known locations and green spaces to help deter any issues and identify anyone involved.

The local officer is also in regular contact with partners, including the Parish Council and the local councillor, to stay informed and respond quickly to any emerging concerns.
