Folkestone Harbour
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Officers have continued to carry out high-visibility patrols in the area to deter crime and respond to concerns raised by local residents. As part of this work, officers have conducted stop and searches of individuals and vehicles where there are legal grounds to do so. A stop and search is a police power that allows officers to search a person or vehicle for prohibited items or evidence of criminal activity. Actioned 01 July 2026 |

Road safety. Issued 15 April 2026 |
A traffic operation was carried out across a number of locations in Folkestone, including the Harbour ward, to address concerns about speeding, dangerous driving and other offences under road traffic legislation. These operations help officers identify unsafe driving, enforce the law and improve road safety for all road users. Actioned 01 July 2026 |

Drink/drug driving. Issued 15 April 2026 |
Officers have been carrying out targeted patrols in and around the harbour area to identify and deal with drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Driving while impaired can significantly increase the risk of collisions and poses a danger to all road users. Actioned 01 July 2026 |
