Maxton & Elms Vale

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Drug dealing.

Issued 03 February 2026

We have been using a mix of high‑visibility patrols and plain‑clothes patrols to disrupt street‑level drug dealing and gather information about wider drug supply networks. Officers have used stop and search powers where appropriate to help identify those involved and build intelligence.

Information gathered through stop searches and arrests has led to several warrants being carried out in connection with drug supply in the area. We continue to target people and vehicles involved in supplying drugs and act on intelligence and reports provided by the community. Please report any concerns through the Kent Police website.

Actioned 23 March 2026

Dog fouling.

Issued 03 February 2026

Police will continue to share these concerns with Dover District Council and the Dog Warden, who are the lead agencies responsible for dealing with dog fouling.

If you have information about who may be causing this problem, or ideas on how Kent Police and partner agencies can work together to tackle this issue, please report your concerns through the Kent Police website.

We continue to focus on a range of road safety issues in the ward using different policing approaches.

Officers have made arrests for drink and drug driving, carried out a high number of traffic stops linked to poor driving behaviour, and seized vehicles being used illegally, including e‑scooters. A number of drivers have also been prosecuted for road traffic offences, such as driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Please report any concerns through the Kent Police website.
