Walmer

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

Noise disturbance.

Issued 03 February 2026

Noise disturbance can have a real impact on people living in Walmer, especially when it happens late at night or on a regular basis.

While Dover District Council is responsible for investigating and enforcing noise complaints, we work closely with the Council to make sure concerns raised by residents are addressed. This includes sharing information, monitoring problem locations and supporting joint activity where needed.

If you are affected by a noise issue, please report it directly to Dover District Council through their online reporting service. Providing details such as the time, location and type of noise helps the Council assess and respond more effectively.

By reporting issues when they happen and continuing to share information, we can work together to help keep Walmer a peaceful and welcoming place to live.

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

Road safety is a priority in Walmer, and we are taking action in response to concerns raised by residents.

Reports of speeding, dangerous parking and poor driving behaviour, particularly near schools, residential streets and busy routes, have helped officers focus activity where problems occur most often. This has included targeted enforcement, roadside checks, speed monitoring and increased visibility in problem areas.

Officers patrol on foot, on marked police bicycles and in police vehicles. Cycle patrols allow officers to access footpaths, cut‑throughs and residential areas more easily, while also giving more opportunities to speak with residents and provide reassurance.

Information from the community is vital. By continuing to report concerns, you help us target resources effectively and take proportionate action to keep Walmer’s roads safer for everyone, including children, older residents, pedestrians, cyclists and visitors.

Actioned 25 March 2026

Fly tipping.

Issued 03 February 2026

Fly‑tipping is a concern raised by residents in Deal, as it affects how clean and welcoming our neighbourhoods feel.

While Dover District Council is responsible for removing dumped waste and taking enforcement action, we work closely with the Council’s Environment Improvement Officers to tackle problem areas. This includes sharing information, identifying those responsible and increasing patrols where reports have risen.

Information from residents has helped us focus activity on known hotspots and take positive steps to address ongoing issues.

If you see fly‑tipping, please report it directly to Dover District Council through their online reporting service. Providing details and photos, if it is safe to do so, helps the Council respond quickly. Including a what3words location can also help pinpoint the exact spot.

By continuing to report fly‑tipping, you help protect Deal’s streets, paths and green spaces for everyone.
