Sandwich

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

We are proactively targeting motorists who are not following road traffic laws. Officers have been carrying out high‑visibility patrols in affected areas, completing speed checks using handheld devices, and stopping and reporting drivers where appropriate. We also provide advice and education to drivers whose behaviour falls below the expected standard.

This work is carried out alongside colleagues from the Road Safety Unit and partner agencies, including the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and Dover District Council. Working together helps us take a coordinated approach to improving road safety.

Officers also speak with local residents to offer reassurance. Ongoing concerns raised by the community are shared with Kent County Council Highways so they can consider longer‑term solutions, such as improved signage or traffic‑calming measures.

Fraud.

Issued 03 February 2026

Fraud can have a serious financial and emotional impact on victims. We encourage residents to report fraud to Kent Police and to Report Fraud, which has replaced Action Fraud. Victims should also contact their bank as soon as possible, as they can provide support and advice.

We regularly share information with residents through My Community Voice, including details about local scams and practical safeguarding advice to help people protect themselves.

Officers have dealt with several reports of fraud and rogue traders. Through attending incidents and speaking directly with victims, officers were able to identify those responsible, share information with partner agencies, and disrupt some of the criminal activity involved.
