Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Road safety issues. Issued 15 July 2026	Following concerns raised by residents, officers have carried out high-visibility patrols, speed checks and speed monitoring at locations where road safety issues have been reported. Officers have engaged with drivers to promote safe and responsible road use and worked with local partners to address concerns about speeding and dangerous driving. Information gathered from residents and patrol activity has helped identify problem areas and support enforcement action where needed. This has included issuing Section 59 warnings to drivers involved in the antisocial use of vehicles. A Section 59 warning can be issued when a vehicle is being used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others. If the behaviour continues, the vehicle may be seized by police. Officers will continue to focus patrols and enforcement activity on key routes and known hotspot locations to improve road safety and provide reassurance to the community. Actioned 30 September 2026
Nuisance motorcycles. Issued 15 July 2026	High-visibility patrols have been carried out in areas identified as hotspots for nuisance motorcycle activity. Officers have engaged with riders, gathered intelligence from residents, and conducted targeted patrols to deter antisocial behaviour. Reports of nuisance riding have been monitored and information shared with relevant policing teams to support enforcement opportunities. Where appropriate, warning letters and other preventative measures can be used to address offending behaviour, with ongoing patrols focused on providing reassurance to the community and reducing the impact of nuisance motorcycles within Sandwich Ward.
