Eastry Rural

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

We have been carrying out high‑visibility patrols in areas where concerns have been raised about road safety. Officers completed speed checks using a handheld device, stopped and reported drivers where necessary, and provided advice and education to those whose driving did not meet the expected standard.

This work has been carried out alongside colleagues from the Road Safety Unit, as well as partner agencies including the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and Dover District Council. Working together helps us take a coordinated approach to improving road safety.

Officers have also spoken with local residents to offer reassurance. Ongoing concerns raised by the community have been shared with Kent County Council Highways so they can consider longer‑term solutions, such as improved signage or traffic‑calming measures.

Fly tipping.

Issued 03 February 2026

Keeping our neighbourhoods clean is something we all care about, and fly‑tipping affects everyone.

Although Dover District Council is responsible for enforcing fly‑tipping offences and removing dumped waste, your local police teams are committed to supporting the community when fly‑tipping becomes a concern. We work closely with Dover District Council to share information, identify those responsible, and maintain a visible police presence in areas where reports increase.

If you come across fly‑tipping, you can help by reporting it directly to Dover District Council using their online service at www.dover.gov.uk/report. Providing details, and photographs if it is safe to do so, helps the council respond quickly.

By reporting issues and looking out for one another, we can help protect our shared spaces and keep our communities clean, safe and welcoming.

We are proactively targeting motorists who are not following road traffic laws. Officers have been carrying out high‑visibility patrols in affected areas, completing speed checks using handheld devices, and stopping and reporting drivers where appropriate. We also provide advice and education to drivers whose behaviour falls below the expected standard.

This work is carried out alongside colleagues from the Road Safety Unit and partner agencies, including the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and Dover District Council. Working together helps us take a coordinated approach to improving road safety.
