Road safety issues. Issued 14 April 2026 |
Road safety has been identified as a key priority in the Eastry ward, with concerns about speeding, unsafe driving and pedestrian safety. Kent Police will continue to carry out targeted patrols, speed checks and work with road users to promote safer driving. Officers will stop vehicles to check that drivers have the correct documents, including a valid driving licence and insurance, and to ensure vehicles are safe and meet legal standards. By working with partner organisations, police will identify problem areas and take action against those who put others at risk. The community is encouraged to report concerns and share information to help address these issues. Actioned 10 June 2026 |

Dog fouling. Issued 14 April 2026 |
Dog fouling has been identified as a key concern in the Eastry ward, as it affects the cleanliness of public spaces and how much people can enjoy the area. Kent Police is working with local partners to help address this issue by encouraging responsible dog ownership and reminding people that they must clean up after their pets by law. While Dover District Council leads on taking enforcement action, officers will continue to support patrols in known problem areas and speak with the public. Residents are encouraged to report incidents so that action can be taken. By working together, we can help keep Eastry clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. Actioned 10 June 2026 |
