Buckland

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Nuisance motorcycles.

Issued 03 February 2026

We are taking proactive action against motorists who are not following road traffic laws. Officers have been carrying out high‑visibility patrols in affected areas, completing speed checks using handheld devices, and stopping and reporting drivers where appropriate. Officers also give advice and education to drivers whose behaviour falls below the expected standard.

This work is carried out alongside colleagues from the Road Safety Unit and partner agencies, including the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and Dover District Council. Working together helps us take a joined‑up approach to improving road safety.

Officers also speak with local residents to provide reassurance. Any ongoing concerns raised by the community are shared with Kent County Council Highways so they can consider longer‑term solutions, such as improved signage or traffic‑calming measures.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 03 February 2026

We have been carrying out targeted patrols in areas affected by nuisance antisocial behaviour. Officers have spoken to those involved to give advice and clearly explain what behaviour is expected.

Officers have also spoken with local residents to gather information, monitored locations where repeat issues have been reported, and shared relevant intelligence to support longer‑term problem‑solving. Where needed, officers have worked with partner agencies to address the underlying causes of the behaviour.

This work is ongoing in the area.

Dog fouling.

Issued 03 February 2026

We will continue to share these concerns with Dover District Council and the Dog Warden, who are the lead agencies responsible for dealing with dog fouling.

If you have information about who may be responsible, or ideas about how Kent Police and partner agencies can work together to tackle this issue, please report your concerns through the Kent Police website.
